The project is located in the rural aerea of the Alcarria Conquense, a region in the North of Cuenca, Spain. From 1960 the population drop was dramatic because of the introduction of the exodus rural. Currently the majority of people living in this arca, are native elderly, retirees or agriculture employees.

The main consequence of the depopulation has been the reduction of public and private investment. The aim od the project is atractting new residents by offering opportunities for the rural town; i.e., to create the “odds of contact, exchange and communication between citizens, activities and institutions” (S. Rueda, 1988), to satisfy the expectations of habitability of any person, regardless of their socio-professional level.
