Pardo House

Boadilla del Monte
2021-2023

The house is located in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid is conceived as a game of visual perspectives to generate the feeling of a fluid and open space; but where each program area remains independent from the other.

The volume, apparently hermetic towards the access road, is completely open to multiple gardens, thanks to the use of interior patios covered by latticework and its semi-buried position.

The program consistes of a house with a separate office area and guest area located with a total of a 468.14m2-

House tour
The building is perceived as a monochrome block. The structure and lattices of colored concrete are combined with granite pavements and pink stucco walls. The landscaping is worked on terraces following the slope of the land, and creating private gardens for each room.

The ground floor is dedicated to the daily housing programm. The distribution is an open plan; but fragmented, enhancing sequences of points of views while the user moves along the house.

The first floor is a private space for the owners, where their bedroom with dressing room and bathroom en suite and a study are located.

Right The master bedroom bathroom features two private latticed Japanese patios. One for the shower, with an outside shower, and one for the toilet cabin.

The sink is conceived as a suspended block of colored concrete. In the semi-basement, illuminated by Japanese patios and open to the garden thanks to the natural slope of the land, the law office and the facilities and laundry area are located.
